looking for others.. to network

well i gathered info on survival and bushcraft for nine months and just got back from spending five months in the bush. and let me tell you...it was great!
1. cloths
2. food, water
3. shelter
4. survival tools
5. purpose of tasking,
6. documentation of events.
7. emergency transport/communication.
...
so i broke the items and needs into easy to disect groups. i tried to centralize needs into my purpose, which was prospecting for gold. i must say though, that i was never further away from the highway than 8 miles.
...
the first trip was to orientate myself with the wilds. i brought my son {kody 7 yrs old} and spent a week touring highways and hills, going to remote cemetarys and mountain top roads. in general we investigated the different terrains and their geology.
the next week we set up camp off the beaten path with a cousin. and practiced how to walk with the land. to blend with the bush, and be in harmony with your surroundings rather than struggle to pass through a bush. we watched for the wildlife and picked up all kinds of tips and hints from cousin Lenny. preperation to safety is paramount. always have a first aid kit in your bag, and a better one at camp.
i realized most of what i prepared for was useless. but thats what i was looking for. so i took my son home and regrouped for stage two.....
