asteroid colision...

heavy subject...literaly!
..
i typed in 2012, and voila...all kinds of info re: end of days.
then typed in 2019, and same type of stuff...
what the heck have i got to lose so at random i typed 2031, and holy cow!! end of days again....
..
okay so we are small in the scale of the universe and our odds are against us....
the major incidents are unavoidable, however what about the smaller ones?
oh-ya...if were talking about small asteroids or comets, and they say it'll block the sun for three years...fall out and all with nuclear winter...
most of us are done for...72 hour kits, three days, overnight bags, single rations over three years...water supply...hygene disposal...
..
so i got to thinking and thats when i ran into the block. naturall materials that offer protection from the extreme elements. self contained living space to accomodate all occupants, with attached cold storage, water supply, wind energy, self propelled generator, etc,etc,etc...
...
there again, this is only open thaught and subject to debate and critisizm..so if we gathered three years supply, and built a habitat resistant to extreme conditions, with eco friendly and sustainable resource...to the best of our ability...to survive off the grid...and thrive.
..
i welcome open thaughts...

society developments...

hmmm...here we are. still in developing stages...but if the idea of being eco friendly and self sufficient in the environment, if it can be achieved the benefits would be great.
so it begins..
looking into sustainable self employment ideas, eco friendly, at least eco conscious.
so i looked at water purification and found many variations,
same with solar power production and hydro....
home construction with earth materials and high efficiency materials.....
wifi and short wave recievors and transmiters...
...
however there is one very important aspect left, and thats the septic tank..as i mention it im looking into it, but iv thaught if there is some way i can recycle in part, to feed a garden and provide nutrients and moisture.
or some other aspect not yet to light.

i know a few guys lets say, that are experimenting with electric cars, bikes, micro transpotation. also interested in evolution of stored energy motion.

schooloing is being looked into, and info is readily avail on the net.

health is a matter of awareness, and training. much material has been collected on illnesses, and health issues. transportation will be provided in casses of need.

by working with the land to achieve a re-newable and sustainable resouce, we provide our futer generations with security.

she is known by many names, nuit, gaia, but she is mother earth...the creator. who provides life so we may live. without her we will die. i live so she may breath.....

together we can seek the path to the futer and develop a harm free society so our environment may thrive...in return provide stimulus to our well being.

there are so many levels i speak on, for the most part iv got a level head and have the ability to rationalize.
with reason we reach conclusion or at least a direction, and make a conscious descision to chose our path.
in the quest to find my spiritual well being i found my path takes me back to the beginning.
so it is with this direction i decided to seek other like minded folks to follow a path and push forward to find their destination. starting somewhere...

i welcome any, all, that may see some reason, a why to it all....
inbetween the lines i say....you know the unity of fellowship, the reason for the cause and way of life...
with concirn for humanity, and protection to our environment we look to preserve our way of life.

sovereign claim...
its our right.

post a beginning and say what you gotta, i encourage all to feel free. anything in thaught is worth mentioning. as a society it must be worked out, figured out, worked with, and acomplished by majority rule or consent, in whole or part.

QUEST FOR GOLD

Cariboo gold

looking for any intersted folks to hit the bush inB.C. to establish a camp this year.

ya im going out to the bush. im setting up a base camp for general use, camping, pic-nics, fishing, in general just a place to get away. my plan is to eventualy have it set up so folks can live off the grid, self sufficient, and help each other. the first year is basic, we find out what we need or want, and set up a basic camp. the second year we set up and flag pathways, roads, and figure out where and how to get utility's to places. meanwhile, we learn other important crafts of living in the bush. information will be taken down and put into a journal, for futer referance and history. the ultimate goal will be for everyone to have a home and plot of land to live on, a community group for assistance and support, a society{yet to be determined} to back its members. after the ball is rolling it will grow. i need ground floor folks to step out with me, others interested in a better way and looking for something more that we cant find in todays lifestyle....hmmm..
the mountains of British Columbia...somewhere. if any from B.C. are reading this and have any suggestions...please post here... this summer is the beginning.

creating a society

the ideal of a society is based on fellowship, in a finer more natural way of life. we strive to do the best for our family, and feel we have the ability and choice to live a greener life for health and spiritual strength. by learning to live off the land we grow together in support and educate others in finding the eco solution to todays problems in the community.
by researching 5 natural energy sources and apply the correct aplication of power, we become independant.
by learning the nutrition table and choosing healthy choices, we develop agriculture.
by careing for those you co-exist with, learn and teach from each other life skills, we learn to survive.
by learning about sciences and how to investigate or detect basic illnesses we get health care.
by openly seeking knowledge, with a desire to learn more, we teach the path to ambition.

as a society, im saying take the best of both worlds, we'd never be able to go 100% green. theres just so much. we can effectivly step aside and begin to learn. by makeing that step the journey begins.

the society will go forward and get some land, once established there are no strings. as a member you'd be welcome 24/7.  in the beginning there will be a common camp site, fixed up and good to go. as time passes and new ideas are brought in things would get built or expanded. eventualy everyone will have theyre own camp site and opportunity to put up a home.

food and materials will be shared at the community level. general storage will be open for all. supplies and equipment will be available to use. bring what you can, do what you can do, live the best you can...

i call a truce, an end to the unknown.
satisfaction and contentment that we can survive goes a long way in giving confidence and security in knowing we can control some of our own destiny.

so if it sounds interesting, and yes a lot still has to be ironed out, then give it a try.
contact me here, or keep tabs and check in once and a while.

its small now, and im focusing on B.C. and AB. folks to join. the area im looking towards is around baldy hughes or rocky mountains by mcbride B.C. the goal is to be self sufficient with power, water, heat, transportation, establish some kind of school, some kind of hospital, and a supply warehouse. from there everything else will come.

its not going to happen overnight but sooner or later it will come. the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step....

Key Considerations for Building Affordable Housing - Hands On How To - MOTHER EARTH NEWS

Key Considerations for Building Affordable Housing - Hands On How To - MOTHER EARTH NEWS

Mystery At Coral Castle

ALTERNATE LIFESTYLE WORKS

my doctor says to me ..your way too young to have a heart attack.
 somewhere else a new home is makeing the kids sick. gaseous fumes from toxic paint, new carpets. new appliances, computers and electrical equipment create a negative magnetic field that can alter the bodys impulses. chemicals and additives test safe in controled experiments, but at body temperature 98 degree's they change composition and become toxic for humans. {desert storm syndrome, alhzeimers, parkinsons, thyroid disease.}
soda pop, and candy all have additives. pre-packaged foods have mono sodium glutamates and other preservatives. peel back the creamer and pour it in your coffee, but your washing the glue residue into your coffe as you pour it in and drink it. cheddar cheese in the store is heat sealed in plastic, but the fumes and residue from the process gets trappin in the cheese.
herbicide and pesticide used in crops, are known to be a carcenogen. i hardly ever see folks washing all the food before cooking.
we went from the country with the most fresh water in the entire world. to having to pay for water, be taxed for drinking water, and as it turns out the recycled bottles with a number 7 on their bottoms are toxic to us.
the chinese have been pumping lead and mercury into candy, toys, paint, ....think about that...how many things are made in china? older dishes and china ware is the same, aluminum pots and pans give alhzeimers. .......

whats the alternative? i dont think we can eliminate but we can minimize. i bake with cast iron, use stainless steel pots, use an environmentaly safe dish soap and rinse twice. i guage my food intake by nutriant value. the stomache digests 34g at a time. prep food and follow directions when using wild edibles. dont eat untill your full, you know when you hit that comfortable zone, not quite full...stop.
i eat raw garlic and raw ginger root, i eat 100% bran twice a day, so with whatever i eat at meals i dont cheat.
buffalo..
fish..
skinless chicken..
yams - parsnips -broccoli- leeks- cranberrys- blueberrys- flax-rye-alfealfa-peppers-chilis-belgian endive-sunflower seeds-pumkin seeds-almonds-walnuts-sesame seeds-whole grain breads- 1% milk-
i suplement other vegetables from time to time but those foods listed are super charged foods. they all cleanse and provide much vitamins minerals nutrients. some are medicinall and others are good staples.
add in there some phyto nutrients and polyphenols i feel great.

some say that a radical change in diet and lifestyle gives best effective aid. we find now that spirituality within ones self is as important as physical health.

greet the morning sun everyday, and watch the sun set.
be honest with your self.
sweat once a day for one hour.
practice proper body posture sitting and standing.
learn to completly relax, calm the mind.
when you align the spine and center your body, your chakra points flow free to breath deep, energy flows.

like a community, if the body works together, it can overcome major obstacles. healthy mind healthy body.

check out the other posts, this goes hand in hand with them. a finer more natural way of life for all...
looking for British Columbia contacts, columbia mountain range....or baldy hughes....
feel free to post anything.....welcome and thanks.

cultural exchange

i understand cultural differences would put country's at odds as to importance of needs.
we are all different, but shelter, food, clothing, the basic needs are the same.
after that it gets diverse...
1. school and library
2. hospital and supply depot
3. power/engineering/electrical
4. communications/survey tech
5. minerals production/mine engineering

but what is first? water, food, shelter, ....then what?
i ask all of you what you believe the next steps would be, if i may so bold to ask.

im inclined to say im here with my camper so i got food shelter and cloths, next step for me is check on game trails, avail of fish, water, fire wood, survey area, make map, locate rich soil to garden, forage areas for berries, identify herbs and edible wild in my vicinity. if im with friends then the next day id expand on the basecamp and make a defensive strategy for different scenario's {for whatever reasons}. with basic fortifications in place and basecamp re-inforced, a foraging detail would be first, once again stock up on berries fish firewood, and carry on with surveying game trails for a trap line.
descisions can be made as to building materials and different aproaches, on the go.

a couple days into learning and re-freshing changes everything. now i see that cold storage buildings waterproof and in the ground is needed. and tree houses for food storage. latrines and showers have to be 300 feet from camp and more from running water source. so building up the first two years. then my friends, i see a whole new set of directions. when comfort hits, to have an observatory with telescope and library to cross reference,
medicinal herbal hospital that cures diseases, power sources that are self sustaining, clean purified water, clothing plants and materials for rope, anyway...homestead first, garden, foraging, and fish. getting the base established to be self sufficient, power water food, home, communication. meeting ground, common place, open to all.
it is from there that we go out to establish other places, aken to each of us, with the support from the rest, we each get a homestead. and always have the common ground to fall back on or stay at. in the very least, a common ground is a campsite thats always avail to you....

so here is my query..
from the diverse backgrounds of all of us, to everyone reading this...what do you think? where are your concirns from your point of view...maybe something different.

DARIN

(no subject)

hey there did you know that radar spelt backwards is
radar..muwhahaha..lol

free range canadians: free range canadians

free range canadians: free range canadians
base camp, first step.
establish the amount of land needed to support a base camp large enough for a dozen folks. say six camp sites arranged in a semi circle with the access road or path stemming out from the middle.an area for personal hygene and latrine. a wood lot near-by to maintain fire wood supply. a near-by hill top for windmill power, a running creek as water source and hydro turbine power, clear hill top area for solar panels, ..
of course youd want to survey the area first for flood planes, animal trails, location of minerals and best farming soil, direction of rising sun and stting sun.

so the first year i was thinking of setting up with a camper and holiday trailer loaded with tools and materials. and build the first stages of a base camp. fire pits and walkways, lean to's and car ports for parking. get the roughed out version on the go. by the time the following year hits we'd have a better idea of what is needed. in the mean time a library would be available for all kinds of research. any interested folks would have to discuss location...i have this friend, when we work together we work like 6 guys...strange but true, two heads are better than on. so with base camp established other locations come in order of input. time to build your homestead comes along everyone helps out, either building or support. mind you i estimate time to full time living three years. at the very least a camp site and out buildings are in place for camping and get togethers always...

as an area im looking at the columbia mountain range to the rocky mountains. by McBride B.C. and up towards the rocky mountains into the bush. rugged terrain and if a nice plateau is found, with protection on three sides, at the right altitude, with the right exposure and wind current. other sites and locations will grow from seeds we plant today.

i often flash back to my younger years and wish i could give the same experiance to my kids, and futer family to come. and at the same time i consider their security in knowing the education of living off the land will be a resource for them to fall back on. yet the question remains...did i do everything i could to prepare my family?

so hear is my start, im calling it free range canadians. everyone should have a home and knoledge to live off the land, with a network of support to maintain a standard. this is my call to all persons interested...no dues, no fee's, just ideas, info, sugestions, and maybe more than a camping trip a time or two. see what happens. today a couple of us, but tomorow could be more...like minded folks and common interests...diversity is a strength.

post your feed back and let me know...

hit me up if you want...

free range canadians

goes to reason and makes sence. if we can, then we should.
the ability is there, the will exists. determination to jump over obstacles draws folks together.
so i have started a blog thing here to collect ideas and post opinions and views. i am interested in creating a group, or society for all to join. the idea being a self contained camp site off the grid for all. from there, expand beyond... for those intereseted.
a society for a finer more natural way of life. gardening and farming off the land, self sufficient power, heat, water, electricity, food, shelter. its just a direction, a beginning. if it goes well...then ill be happy. so by all means i dont care what you post, anything and everything...funny how everythings related.
and keep in mind...everythings relavant.
friends and family, new friends i havent met yet...i give you "free range canadians"

homesteading / farmsteading . we cant eliminate but we can minimize.

the diverse options of growing your own nutrient rich produce versus store bought, lower quality food. its obvious...health and well being should be priority.
theres a book called, "the homesteaders book, vol 1, and vol 2." very good read.
descriptive in that it gives you the lay of the land, what tree's provide nutreints to the ground, and natural barriers to wild life. tricks and trades of growing crops, to building your home. a blacksmith traing manual will show how to make your floors fire resistant, an well teach metalurgy. makeing a forge is nice, having bake ovens and hot water tanks is nice too.
i have my own ideas and thaughts on laying out the property. and have come to the conclusion that a gathering of like minded folks goes further that doing it alone. in construction of homes, shops, camps, garages, road systems, power systems, communications, transportation, etc etc...looking at maybe a society. a gathering of those like minded people. for a finer more natural way of life...im not saying completly cut off...just a greener way of life. self sufficient, off the grid.
.. feel free to post ...
..free range canadians

san andreas fault line runs up the middle of B.C.

in the event the fault line gives way, between now and the next ten thousand years...they say the safest place will be the columbia mountain range and towards the rocky mountains. so everything from hwy 97 going west will fall into the ocean.
i dont think we will see that, but to be prepared incase it was induced by nuclear explosions at strategic locations could be helpfull. so the western half of B.C. falls away, you got the rockys now.natural defensive barrier. what better place for the beginning basecamp.foothills to mountain tops. columbia mountains to rocky mountains...vast.
if an asteroid hit earth the tremmors may set it off too, after shocks as well. ya its off the wall and completely left field. but hey...its a start. imagine having already been prepared and been right?

it was an article about the asteroid in 2002..some news paper and then never heard anything more after that. curioser and curiouser cause it is scheduled to arrive 2019 with a 1% chance of missing.

welcome..how far do we go?

in a greeting when you meet someone, you shake their hand. in the beginning a hand shake was only to show you did not bare any weapons, and you come in peace. nowadays lock your doors, dont talk to strangers, avoid getting involved, and dont give out any information. BAH!

i offer a truce...yup. im looking for others who are tired of the way things are going. whatever...so many of us work all our life and face the idea of having nothing in the end. im talking about a conection. have you ever thaught there has to be something more? i turn on the light switch, click on t.v., log on the computer, turn the heat up...but what the hell? the satisfaction of technology should be applied to greener living space, there are five natural energy sources....
medicinal herbal....
magnetic propulsion...
plants that produce ten times the oxygen of tree's...
turbine {wind/water/steam} electrical power....

but what i mean to say is, together many can thrive, in a sustainable environment. a gathering of individuals in the quest to have the network, in place, to achieve self sufficient living in the event of need.

hmm...that doesnt realy say it all. yes but more...all familys welcome...individuals too...work co-operative, share hunts and bounty, help each other build and pursue ideals, train each other and explore potentials.

thats down the road for sure, for now its an intro...i am non violent, and non agresive. i dont condone violence unless its an extreme scenario. in life or death i chose life..free to live...in the ranges and foothills of the rocky mountains...columbia mountain range...

survival in mind, network contacts, possable gathering this summer....all interested pls post....all ideas, all aspects. i am one, interested in self reliance, looking for other like minded folks...

each with enough land and trees to support and maintain your family, with the support of folks who have a common interest........in some degree.

welcome to all....
