homesteading / farmsteading . we cant eliminate but we can minimize.

the diverse options of growing your own nutrient rich produce versus store bought, lower quality food. its obvious...health and well being should be priority.
theres a book called, "the homesteaders book, vol 1, and vol 2." very good read.
descriptive in that it gives you the lay of the land, what tree's provide nutreints to the ground, and natural barriers to wild life. tricks and trades of growing crops, to building your home. a blacksmith traing manual will show how to make your floors fire resistant, an well teach metalurgy. makeing a forge is nice, having bake ovens and hot water tanks is nice too.
i have my own ideas and thaughts on laying out the property. and have come to the conclusion that a gathering of like minded folks goes further that doing it alone. in construction of homes, shops, camps, garages, road systems, power systems, communications, transportation, etc etc...looking at maybe a society. a gathering of those like minded people. for a finer more natural way of life...im not saying completly cut off...just a greener way of life. self sufficient, off the grid.
